jason witten’s dallas procamp, and arian foster’s houston procamp, kick off popchips’ partnership to provide healthier snacks to over 20,000 campers

what does walter payton’s 2013 man of the year, jason witten, do in his time off?  pop onto the field with local youth to offer his coaching expertise and inspire kids to follow their dreams, of course.

dallas-area youth arrived early last saturday morning, hungry to pop into action at procamps kickoff event of the season.  hall of famer jason witten, a pillar in the dallas community, took the field with the kids offering his expertise in football, as well as words of encouragement to challenging participants to chase their dreams, both on and off the field. popchips chipped in snacks to help fuel campers before taking the field.

we don’t take sides though…texan’s fans were receiving the same popstar treatment down in houston at arian foster’s procamp…

it was a beautiful houston morning when star running back, arian foster, stepped onto the field at pearland high school. with over 300 young promising athletes and their families patiently awaiting the arrival of their hero,  it was day one of foster’s procamp, and he didn’t disappoint.

over the next few hours, foster instructed and coached the kids with same passion, dedication, and philosophy he impresses upon himself.  he’s always been a player of non-conformity and unconventional means; and that’s what makes him a true innovator when it comes to the sport; his signature namaste bow, a symbol, of his journey to higher enlightenment and purpose on the field.

popchips was on-site, chip-chatting with procamps parents,  having a little fun with the families and sharing some tasty, healthier snacks.

foster, a well-known vegan, chatted with the audience, imparting some personal wisdom and thanking the procamps attendees for the opportunity to be a part of their day.

the day concluded with a highly nutritious lunch from local vegan hot spot, ruggles green, with our favorite game-day snack on the side. (popchips’ original potato, sea salt & vinegar potato, salt & pepper potato, jalapeño potato, chili lime potato, sweet potato, thai sweet chili potato, salsa tortilla and chili limón tortilla are all vegan!)
